Did You Say Hike?

One of the best activities that we enjoy with our furbabies is hiking. Just pull out one of the car harnesses and they  bounce around running to the front door ready to go! Late Easter Sunday afternoon we decided to load the jeep and head out for another hiking adventure.
The afternoon was beautiful and the water inviting! No swimming allowed - alligators may be present!

We took a quick break and watched a paddle boat go by.

Nina was ready for break time to be over!

We came across a huge red Malamute on the way to the jeep.  He was a big fellow and ever so friendly.  He was twice the size of Myshka and Sasha!

How many miles do you walk every week?

  1. What a great way to spend your Easter Sunday afternoon! We try to get a 30 minute walk in a day, but have been a little lax lately.

  3. Hi Y'all!

Hey, hey...I know the old alligator routine. When we're at the shore they lurk and spoil the swim fun for me too. :(

To answer your question about how many miles we walk...the Humans walk more than 2 miles every day...now me! we usually go where I'm off leash, so I probably run a minimum of 20. Fella's got to keep fit somehow ;) Plus I get my regular walks with the Humans, twice in the morning and twice in the evening.

    Y'all come back now,

  4. What a beautiful place. We dont walk nearly as much as you, but then most of us are brachy breeds and Norbert is a bit older. We have to be really careful about heat with our guys in the summer and also cold in the winter, not good for the brachy breathing. We walk about half an hour a day during the week and farther on the weekend, at least an hour. Im on spring break this week so we are doing an hour a day. We do go on some hikes on weekends in the fall and spring, but most of our walks are city walks.

  5. We walk about 30 to 40 minutes. Not sure how many miles it is. For Thumper it's about twice as many as for Lightning - Thumper weaves back and forth across the road while Lightning walks in a straight line. :)

  6. I am so glad I do not have to worry about alligators, scary.
MOM and I walk 30 to 40 minutes a day but on Friday and Mondays, and sometimes on Saturday we walk for at least two hours. Not sure what that is in miles but whatever it is for MOM you can times that my 6 or 7 for me.

  7. We got to go for some nice walks yesterday too, but not as nice as yours. Everyone looks so happy.

Mom says she has never seen a red and white malamute - he was beautiful.

  8. What a pawesome Malamute!!!

He reminds me of Cinnabar - I met Sebastian and Cinnabar at The Tails on The Trail fur TOTTSHR a few years ago - they are inkhredibly nice AND strong fellas - furry big in to pulling khompetitions!

As fur how many miles - as long as it isn't raining, we walk everyday - at least 1.25miles - and on Mom's days off (Sun, Mon, Tue), we walk twice - the sekhond walk is khloser to 1.5 to 2 miles!
